Pingtung Veterans General Hospital has applied for the development of an area of about 4.85 hectares, with a planned investment of over NT$ 9.4 billion, including the "medical building" in the medical area and the staff dormitory in the non-medical area. The outpatient emergency department building is designed with 9 floors above the ground and 2 floors below the ground. There will be 4 medical departments, 34 clinical departments, 9 medical and administrative departments, and 450 acute beds, which will provide comprehensive care for first-aid trauma, cardiovascular diseases, CVA and geriatrics, etc. The building area is 13,779.82 square meters, with a total floor area of 77,552.66 square meters. Improve the acute and critical care, cancer care, and build a smart hospital to develop precision medicine, aiming at becoming the navigator of acute and critical care in Pingtung County.
Department of Otolaryngology-Head and neck surgery has several tasks as the followings:
(1) 24-hour emergency ENT service for Pingtung area
(2) High-quality service in the outpatient department, and hospitalization care
(3) Precision medicine in head and neck cancer and ENT field
(4) Holistic care for head and neck cancer patients
(5) Incorporation of service, teaching, and research
(6) Collaboration hub of ENT doctors in Pingtung area
With the guidance from Professor Yaoh-Shiang Lin, and Bor-Hwang Kang, we will continue to improve our quality of care and research level.
